Chuck D is my all-time hero. I finally got to interview him in 2007 in conjunction with a New Orleans Public Enemy concert at House of Blues. As this was just a couple years after Katrina, I wanted to talked to him about the racial implications of the storm, and also about Public Enemy. When interviewing a busy person such as Chuck, you are given only 20 minutes. He and I talked for 30 about Katrina before he had to go. Because we never got around to talking music, he called me back several days later and gave me another 30 minutes. AntiGravity published the entire Q&A, which I will republish here soon. In the meantime here is the Gambit Weekly article I wrote about P.E.s 25th anniversary tour, including some great quotes from Chuck.
